Prior to CV, Shahram was a serial entrepreneur and founding executive in several life science companies, raising over $100M. Shahram was the founding CEO of Rgenix, a clinical-stage biotech company with multiple first-in-class therapeutics for cancer, and the CFO and VP of Corporate Development at NextBio, a genomics software pioneer acquired by Illumina. As an investor, Shahram has backed some of the most transformative companies in health tech and the life sciences, including digital health leader Omada Health, gene therapy leader Rocket Pharma (NASDAQ: RCKT), Singular Bio (acquired by Invitae), Counsyl (acquired by Myriad), Bina (acquired by Roche), and Avantome (acquired by Illumina). Shahram founded CV to support a new generation of category-defining companies, including Billion-to-One (diagnostics/ genomics), Evonetix (gene synthesis) and Catalog (DNA data storage).
